Disney New Year's Baseball Classic


Coach Pitch Parents,

Please find general information on the New Year's Baseball Classic below.   The deadline to confirm your child's participation is April 5th. 

Our entry into Disney New Year's Baseball Classic includes:
  • Major League quality field maintenance and game field preparation
  • Two (2) umpires per game
  • Presence of athletic trainers, provided by South Lake Hospital, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
  • Public address announcers and scorekeepers for each game
  • Water fountains or ice water in each dugout
  • Game balls for each game
  • 4-game minimum guarantee

  • Reserve Hotel Through Anthony Travel
Rooms are blocked at several hotels for all Disney Baseball event participants and spectators. All teams are required to stay in one of the tournament hotels and must make their reservations through Anthony Travel, the designated Travel Planner for all Disney Baseball tournaments. Please note: Failure to make your reservations through Anthony Travel can result in the non-acceptance of your team for the designated tournament.

Waivers MUST be completed by all athletes/coaches. In order to be on the field of play in this event, all athletes and coaches are required to complete a waiver form. Please follow the following process:
  • Before distributing these forms, the coach should print the Team Name & Division in the “Event Information” section on the form.
  • Photocopy the number of forms you require.
  • Teams may bring up to 20 players and four coaches, but all are required to purchase a participant package.
  • All minors (under age 18) must fill out a “minor” waiver, and have a parent or legal guardian sign the “Release and Indemnity” section.
  • The coach is responsible for photocopying, distributing, collecting, and returning all waivers.
  • All waivers are due 30 days prior to arrival and can be faxed to 407-938-3442 or emailed. For an e-mail address, please contact us at 407-938-3802.
  • Please bring all birth certificates and waivers to the on-site event check-in for reference.
  • Birth Certificates: All teams must present a copy of each player's birth certificate, which will be checked for tournament eligibility. Birth certificates may be faxed to 407-938-3442. Finalize team meal options (catering, dining cards, or team functions) 1 WEEK PRIOR TO ARRIVAL Print latest copy of team schedule (final copy will be received upon arrival)
