Parents,

Reminder for those of you who have volunteered or want more info about the concessions fundraiser on Saturday, December 5th.  You will need to be in attendance by 3:00PM.  This will be a good opportunity to make some money for the team as alcohol will be served and should generate more funds.

• Please be in attendance at the East gate of Don Haskins Special Event Center between 2:30PM-3:00PM.
• To get credit for an event you must be present 2 1/2 hours prior to the start and stay until concessions are shut down.
• No jewelry of any kind is allowed. Please make sure you leave these personal items behind.
• Hair must be pulled back and in a black baseball cap (preferred) or a baseball cap of any type.
• Wear black Rockies t-shirts or plain black tee.

Again because this is an alcohol event there is more potential to raise more funds. We have enough TABC certified volunteers to serve alcohol this day however if you are interested there is a TABC class on:

• Monday, November 29th at 6PM
• Enter through North Gate of the Don Haskins Center
• Fee: $15 CASH ONLY
• Valid for 2 years

Fundraising Opportunity

We have been offered an opportunity to fundraise for each of our individual kids. We will evenly split the proceeds and the funds will be deposited into a team account for your child based on the total amount earned per event.

For example, if we were to make $500 at one event where we had 6 volunteers that money would be split into 6 parts of $83.33. If you and your spouse for example volunteered for the event then that would make a total of $166.66 ($83.33 x 2) that would go towards your child as well.

You will not get credit for fundraising unless you participate. This fundraising will help to cover fees, uniforms, equipment, etc. Again this participation is optional but if you do not partake you will have to incur cost directly.

Please review the list of possible events. We are in the process of finalizing which events will be open to us and need a minimum of 8-10 volunteers for events. Final list will be posted shortly.

We will be ordering T-shirts for parents and supporters from a new vendor next week. The T-shirts cost is $8 and includes your player's number and standard verbiage on the back, e.g. Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Grandma.  If you would like to personalize the verbiage on the back that is an additional $1.50 e.g., Jake's Mom, etc.

The shirt will be black and the front of the shirt will say Rockies Tball. The back of the shirt will designate your player's number. Please turn in your cash no later than Saturday, September, 4th for your order.

PRESEASON GAMES AND SNACK SCHEDULES- UPDATED

Please check links below for the Preseason Game Schedule and updates to the Snack List.

Please try to have your children at the game at least 15 minutes before game time to allow the children to get settled and start to warm up.

Good luck to both Rockies teams as we begin another competitive season at the Sportspark!

Rockies Need Equipment

Parents,

This season we will definitely need more equipment for the games and for practice. Coach Saul has committed to donating a helmet but we definitely need at least two more helmets for general team use.

Here is a list of items we need donated:

• Set of authentic bases (not the kind we have been using for practice)
• 2 batting helmets
• 2 equipment bags
• 1 Tee

Getting this equipment will allow us to practice in a manner that is more realistic and will better prepare the  children for the actual games.

We have also created a general donation/sponsorship letter which I can email and/or print for you if you would like to help us raise money this way. We appreciate your support and thank you for anything you can assist us with.

Rockies prepare for 2010 Fall Season

Parents,

As we prepare for the Fall 2010 season, we ask that you start looking for sponsors for our Marketing Initiative. As we prepare to develop the children for a tough season, we are also looking at a long term Strategic Plan which involves traveling with the kids to different tournaments. This exposure will give our kids a lasting advantage as they prepare for a life full of competitive sports. 

We have valuable marketing space on the team banner and on windbreakers for the Fall season, so please keep that in mind as we move forward.  Snack schedule, and game schedule to follow.  As always please contact me if you have any additional questions or concerns.
